Ralf Strauss

Senior Technical Service Manager

Ralf holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from University of Applied Science at Mannheim. He joined BASF SE in 1990 as an Operating Engineer for application and development laboratories and has since gathered experience in various roles including Marketing, Technical Marketing and Business Management. Whilst being responsible for the development of engine coolants (Glysantin® brand of BASF), Ralf has - in the last 28 years - carried out numerous OEM fluid approval projects. Today, he is a Senior Technical Service Manager, in the Region of Europe and Emerging markets (Africa and Middle East) actively working on product approvals with various OEMs for engine coolant Glysantin® and brake fluid Hydraulan®.

Senior Field Engineer

A chartered mechanical engineer, David started his working life in the steel industry as a hydraulic engineer responsible for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems for British Steel Stainless. This was followed by two years as a mechanical engineer responsible for the maintenance of the cold rolling mills in Sheffield. David joined Mobil in 1996 and has held numerous technical positions covering many industries from cornflakes to cement, power to pharmaceuticals, followed by six years commercially and technically managing landfill gas-fuelled reciprocating engines. He then spent nine years in international marine lubricants as the Chief Engineer for the UK, Cyprus, and the Middle East providing technical support to key customers. David recently returned to the UK as the Senior Field Engineer coordinating engineering services for gas engine customers.
Luke Pearson

System Owner - Fluids at INNIO Group

Luke is the Lubricants Product Line & Technical Manager for INNIO Jenbacher. He has been working with large bore high horsepower diesel & gas engines since 2005, with a range of positions starting as an apprentice through to manufacturing engineering and transitioning into the world of mechanical development. In 2013 Luke relocated from the UK to Jenbach in Austria continuing as a mechanical engineer, leading product development programs on the Type 6 engine platform. Since 2015 Luke has been responsible for lubricant development & and co-development programs with key lubricant partners.
